1. Acceptance & Eligibility
By using this website or reserving an ad spot, you agree to these Terms & Conditions. You must be 18 or older to purchase advertising from us.
2. Service Description
The Local Card sells shared ad space on a full-color, oversized (9" x 12") postcard mailed monthly to 2,500 households. Up to 16 non-competing local businesses share each mailing — one business per category.
3. Ad Spots & Category Exclusivity
Spots are assigned first-come, first-served and are subject to availability. We limit each mailing to one business per category; category exclusivity is confirmed at the time of purchase and is not guaranteed until payment is complete.
4. Pricing & Payment
Single spots are $299, double spots are $499, and mega spots are $899, billed monthly and processed securely through Stripe. Your subscription renews each month until canceled. You can cancel anytime by contacting us using the information below; cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period.
5. Ad Content & Design
You may submit your own ad artwork or have us design one for you at no extra cost. You're responsible for the accuracy of your ad content. We reserve the right to reject or request changes to artwork that is false, misleading, or unsuitable for a household mailing.
6. Communications
By submitting your phone number, you consent to receive calls, emails, and text messages (SMS) related to your order. You can opt out of SMS communications at any time by replying STOP.
7. Intellectual Property
The design, layout, and graphics of this website belong to The Local Card and may not be copied or reused without permission.
8. Third-Party Links & Services
Our checkout process is handled by Stripe. We are not responsible for the content, practices, or availability of Stripe or any other external site linked from this website.
9. Warranties & Liability
This website and our advertising services are provided "as is," without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee specific results, leads, or sales from your advertisement. The Local Card disclaims liability for damages arising from use of this website or reliance on the information it contains, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
10. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Maryland.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the site or an active spot reservation after changes are posted means you accept the updated terms.
